A New Craft Beer Arrives in NC: Where to Find it
CHARLOTTE IS QUICKLY becoming one of the nation’s craft beer capitals. With South End sprawling with microbreweries and plenty more neighborhoods playing the same key, if there’s one thing we do well in Charlotte, it’s drinking beer.
And if you were smiling to yourself as you read that, get ready for that smirk to widen a bit more. There’s a new craft beer in town, and you’re going to want to try it.
Deschutes Brewery’s beginning was humble. In 1988, the Bend, Oregon-based brewery was first a public house providing a comfortable place for locals to gather over a pint of beer made in-house. You know the type of place—the kind with a cozy, welcoming environment that turns strangers into friends and friends into family. Good beer just does that to people.
And now, these west coast brewers are sharing their love for community with Charlotte’s beer-obsessed scene. As far as finding Deschutes brews, below are some of the restaurants in town where you can kick back with a cold one and cheers to the Portland brewery that chose to endow our community with all-new beers to try.
