Bridal Fashion: Bridesmaid dress Now & Later

Davids Bridal

How you can wear even the brightest of bridesmaid dress colors long after the wedding.

In the premiere issue of Charlotte Wedding (the print magazine edition), I styled a page on bridesmaid dresses and how you can wear them after the wedding for work, brunch, or cocktails. Since then, I've had a few inquiries from real bridesmaids searching for fashionable ways that they, too, can wear that bridesmaids dress again (and not to someone else's wedding). So, I decided today we'd feature one of those looks on the blog.

This green David's Bridal number (pictured, left) is for Chelsea Marie. I hunted down some fun items and accessories that will make her friends green with envy when they see her styled like this.

Start with the green dress, layer over the Madewell cardigan, belt outside with the J.Crew belt, and accessorize with Marc by Marc Jacob earrings, an Argento Vivo necklace and classic leather Michael Kors watch. A sturdy leather Kooba tote handbag, classic Ray Ban aviator shades, and flat Nine West oxfords in a lighter shade of brown finish it off.

What do you think? Does this help you come up with creative ways to wear your bridesmaid dresses again?
