Online Finds: French Connection Sale

We've been avid fans of French Connection United Kingdom even since the days when the store's T-shirts making a play on their initials seemed cute and a little risqué

Online Finds: Top Shop USA

Somehow in all of this Fashion Week chaos, we missed the fact that earlier this week our ABSOLUTE FAVORITE British store's website had finally hit American shores! It's hard to express our excitement over this blog because it doesn't contain an audio version of us screaming.

In addition to offering fabulous fashion at reasonable prices, the first US customers to purchase items on the site receive a Kate Moss Charity tee for free! And, if you sign up right now, you have the chance to win a $750 online shopping spree on the new site! And, Kate Moss' new collection (which previously you could only purchase at Barney's in the US) is also now available!

Online Finds: Observer covers Fashion Week

Today The Charlotte Observer gives a nice slide show rundown of Fashion Week thus far. It's by no means comprehensive—and it also has a serious bias towards Monique Lhuillier, which we'll excuse because we were obsessed with just about every thing that walked down her runway this week. But, it's fun to look at, they do a nice job of sprinkling it with celebs, and it's good to see that the local paper is paying attention to international fashion.

Online Finds: Spanx 8th Anniversary

It's Saturday morning.

Not that we do this because we only eat salads and drink water*, but there's a rumor going around that some people tend to over indulge on Friday nights. So, Saturday morning comes and you're thinking "Great, tonight I'm supposed to wear that cute, new dress (the one that clings to every curve) to that party with my friends. And right now there are more than a few...

Online Finds: 75% off Hard Candy Cosmetics

We were more than a little sad to find out that Hard Candy (of pastel polish fame) is cutting back next season and only selling their gift sets. However, our grief was short lived when we heard that the cutting back includes liquidating their current inventory.

Gloss, bronzer, shadow... it's all there and it's all 75% off. We'll miss Hard Candy's selection, but at least our pout will look pink and shiny while we're doing it.

Online Finds: Free Pottery Barn

Confession: I frequently purchase home decor from Pottery Barn kids.

Reason: It's cheaper than the stuff for grown-ups—plus I have an obsession with the color known as "baby blue."

Why I'm excited right now (even though I definitely don't have a child): This contest through Real Simple magazine is offering $5,000 in PB Kids merchandise.

Online Finds: Vintage Swimsuit

Earlier this summer I purchased this swimsuit in red after seeing it on famed New York City blogger Julia Allison's site. It's vintage va va voom meets modern miracle material that sucks it all in for you. And it is, without a doubt, my favorite swimsuit I've ever owned.

Until 10 p.m. tonight Allison's offering a free white or purple version of it to two people who email her with the best reasons why it should be theirs. I'd start typing if I were you.

Online Finds: Calvin Klein enhanced Web site

Today Calvin Klein launched a new section on their website that will sell "merchandise from the women’s and men’s better lines, including sportswear, coats, dresses, jeans, underwear, sunglasses and watches, as well as a selection from Calvin Klein Home, from bedding to table linens, flatware and glassware," according to WWD.

Since we're still waiting for CK to set up shop here (their closest store offering garb from their better sportswear line-not to be confused with their higher end collection-opened in Atlanta last fall), it's nice to have an online alternative for now.

These boho-meets-flapper bands are our newest obsession. From simple styles featuring single silk flowers to roaring twenties flair with feathers and sequins, these headbands by two L.A. stylists are strictly for the boldest of fashionistas.

We’ll take one of each.
