Green Jeans Consignment Sale

How good is the semi-annual Green Jeans Consignment Sale? So good that I wait patiently for it to come around each year--and not the kind of "patient"  (furious) waiting I do for "Mad Men" to come back each season.

East Boulevard Sidewalk Sale

It’s here, it’s here! This weekend is one of my favorites each year in Charlotte: East Boulevard Sidewalk Sale weekend (specifically, Saturday, June 2). It’s the time when the shops down this cute stretch in Dilworth haul last season’s leftovers and this season’s sale items onto the lawn or respective discount racks and tables. It’s when you can get tasty additions from Pour Olive for your summer dinner menus and silky body lotions from Cottage Chic. It’s when you snag cute summer dresses (with price tags that make your eyes dance with delight) from Petal and Sloan, and trendy jewelry from Laura James, among countless other goodies from the big players.

FROCK Shop Opens in Plaza Midwood

We had the pleasure of highlighting Caroline Cook-Frers and her charming vintage meets resale traveling trunks shows (full of reworked, fab finds, like dresses and accessories) in our November issue (where you can read in greater depth about Cook-Frers). Now, we’re thrilled for her, and those of you who have fallen in love with her goods or have yet to discover them, because her permanent FROCK Shop outpost opens tomorrow in Plaza Midwood’s Museum of Neighborhood Art (MoNA).

Lavendar Boutique Denim Sale

There's a lot we'll do for the perfect pair of jeans. Like, say, show up at J.Crew on five different occasions this week because you (or I--no need to name names here) are panicking about whether or not you picked the right leg shape for every last pair of heels in your closet. The point is, the process is arduous. But Lavendar Boutique in Mooresville has been kind enough to make that process a little less stressful--at least on our wallets. Weekend Ahead: Simon Fashion Now at SouthPark Mall

If actually walking and shopping sounds too strenuous on a Friday or Saturday night, how about sitting and shopping? Scoop Charlotte Consignment Crawl

I'm a penny-pincher, which doesn't always mesh well with my fashion editing occupation. But events like Scoop Charlotte's Consignment Crawl this weekend (Friday, Sept. 30-Saturday, Oct. 1) certainly help.
