Love It: SafetyTat Kid Tattoos

I'm not a mom, but I am one of the most paranoid, doomsday, "worst case scenario" worriers you've ever met. (My poor eventual children don't stand a chance against my warped way of thinking. )  However, even non crazy-worrying moms can get behind this positively clever invention:  SafetyTat - temporary tattoos bearing In Case of Emergency contact info you put on your kid when you are going to be in environments where they could get lost.

Love It? SJP NYC Perfume

In case you missed it, Sarah Jessica Parker has released her third fragrance, this one is called SJP NYC and according to SJP herself, the packaging and the scent are directly inspired by her time spent in the expensive stiletto shoes of Carrie Bradshaw.

Think Pink! Makeover Event to Benefit Carolina Breast Friends

I personally don't need an excuse to get a cosmetic counter makeover, but it's certainly less awkward for all parties involved if you do have a  reason for marching up to the Chanel  counter and declaring "Make me pretty, please!" 

In this case, we've got a great reason for you.  On Tuesday, February 23 the Neiman Marcus' Cosmetics department (Level One) is hosting a party to benefit Carolina Breast Friends. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. you can enjoy cocktails and makeovers from all your favorite beauty lines. All they ask in return is a $20 donation to this local cancer support charity so that they can continue to make women feel beautiful no matter what!

What's Happening: Blumenthal Raises Funds for Haiti Relief

Behold the power of the arts:

To aid in the efforts of relief for the ongoing turmoil in Haiti, two shows happening at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center are teaming up to do their part. 

First, ALL ticket proceeds from the first three performances of Woody Sez will be donated directly to the American Red Cross for Haiti Disaster Relief. (Feb 3-5)

Additionally, cast members from the Broadway touring production of Spring Awakening (which begins its Charlotte run tomorrow) will collect donations in the lobby following each performance. (Feb 2-7)
