Do you think you can put together an outfit as good as Project Runway Season 1 winner Jay McCarroll? Now is your chance to find out. He'll be picking a few shoppers to put together spring looks that will then march down the runway to be judged by onlookers. The winner will get a $100 gift card to spend in the store on spring must-haves! Saturday at 2 p.m. at Macy's in SouthPark Mall.

PUT IT ON ICE - Goodwill Fashion Show and Clothing Drive at Charlotte Checkers Game
As a proud closet-purger, I donate to Goodwill on nearly a monthly basis. Normally all I get in return for my donation is a) the satisfaction of knowing I did a good thing b) a receipt for taxes that I will almost certainly forget to fill out or lose and c) a cleaner closet. This weekend, however, I can get something more, and so can you! Donate your gently used clothing items at the Checkers game at Time Warner Cable Arena this Saturday you'll get a free ticket to a future Charlotte Checkers game!
