KK Bloom St. Patty's Day Sale

When I was little, I was very particular about what I wore. And by particular, I mean I had to wear the same red jacket (sleeves hiked up to my wrists), blue jeans, and white T-shirt everyday my first year of Preschool; I was copying my mom, who, between washing my one outfit every evening, found time to be flattered. Through my elementary school years, I was always allowed to pick out my outfits, and the particularity thing didn't change. It caused some problems. I'll never forget one St. Patrick's day in 1993, when I insisted that my hot pink, daisy print Gap leggings superseded wearing green for the holiday. Get Elizabeth Hasselback's Look

Although Elizabeth Hasselback is, by leaps and bounds, my least favorite cast member of "The View," I can't deny her penchant for style. I almost jumped off my couch while watching this morning's show (I consider it research for work...) because Hasselback was sporting a yellow Trina Turk dress that was none other than the very one I featured on our spring trend report of the "Charlotte Today Show" last month! Cure by Design by the American Cancer Society

Few campaigns are as touching as “Creating a world with more birthdays” by the American Cancer Society. Cole Haan Trunk Show at Via Veneto

Call me crazy, but I love a weekend full of good sales. My Tar Heels playing and the ACC tournament happening simultaneously also helps, but mainly, I'm excited about said sales. Via Veneto kicks it off Friday with an all-day (10 a.m.-6 p.m.) Cole Haan Shoes Trunk Show.

ArtFusion: Surrealism at the Mint Museum Uptown

Slate Interiors Gallery Crawl

Lame Friday night plans? Scratch them. Come shop extra late tonight at Slate Interiors, from 5-7:30, because it's time again for the store's monthly Gallery Crawl. Munch on organic treats by Thomas Martin Catering, and sip on beer and wine as you shop the lastest selections. Personally, we're loving the pops of citrus shades on drink trays, art work, and accessories. Tonight's featured artist is Heather LaHaise, who's known for her pet portraits. Oscars Red Carpet Fashion

I've taken a few days to mull the fashion because I was a bit torn, but I've arrived at my picks for who was hot and who was a flop on Sunday night's Red Carpet for the 84th Annual Academy Awards (Oscars). Usually, my categories are plain and simple--best and worst. But this time, I think we need to add a most talked about category. I'm also happy to report that I had more trouble picking worsts than bests; this was an impressive showing.
