Father's Day: The Counter and Rooster's Wood-Fired Kitchen

More Father's Day dining opportunities:

Rooster's Wood-Fired Kitchen (6601 Morrison Blvd., 704.366.8688) in SouthPark is offering free dessert for dads on Father's Day. As always, Rooster's offers fresh, local produce in their dishes, making summer the perfect season to stop by. Plus, with Father's Day on a Sunday, that means that Pops in the Park will be going on just down the street. At Rooster's you can order a meal prepared for the concert, then take your picnic basket to fill up with meats, cheeses, desserts, and dishes like mac and cheese. And if your take out order for Pops is $25 or more, you get half off two bottles of wine.

Another SouthPark restaurant, The Counter (4310 Sharon Rd., 704.365.1922), will be offering a free burger to all dads on Father's Day. They're calling this the Burger For Dad (BFD) deal and the offer includes one standard burger with included toppings. (The Counter offers more than 312,000 different burger combinations, so Dad should be able to find one he enjoys!)
