Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day

It's time to pull out your cow costume and put away your pride. Next Friday, July 8, is Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A, which means that if you're wearing a full cow costume, you get a free Chick-fil-A meal. (Partial cow costumes, such as a cow-spotted hat, will earn you a free entree.)

What's that? You don't own a cow costume? Well, that's ridiculous, but luckily Chick-fil-A can help. On their special website dedicated to Cow Appreciation Day you can download cow spots to paste all over you in order to create a costume.

Yelp's Passport to Selwyn

Like the sound of free food and drinks? And discounts at local stores? Then you're going to want to RSVP for Yelp's Passport to Selwyn Kickoff Party. The event is happening on July 9th and begins a promotional week (July 10 - July 17) of local businesses on Selwyn offering discounts to those holding "passports."

There are a limited number of passports though, which is why you need to go to the party on the 9th to make sure you get yours. Plus, at the launch event you have a chance to hear live music and get free beer and wine from places like Big Boss Brewing and Natty Greene's Brewing Co.... Read more »

Generous Pour Wine Event at The Capital Grille

From July 12th through September 4th, uptown's The Capital Grille  is offering a chance to try nine limited vintage varietals, chosen by a Master Sommelier. You can try all nine (in what Capital Grille calls "generous tastings") for $25 per person at dinner. Plus, the tastings can be paired with your courses and custom flights can be prepared upon request.

A few of the wines offered include Tamrima Hill Monastrell (2009), Chalk Hill Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (2006), and Conte Brandolini Vistorta Merlot (2006).
