Andrew Blair's is Remodeling

If you happened to stop by Andrew Blair's on Montford Drive yesterday, you probably noticed that the restaurant has begun remodeling its dining room. The renovations, which began yesterday, mean that the restaurant will be closed for its usual dinner and brunch. However, lovers of its late night scene need not despair as AB's will continue offering bar service and plenty of partying on Friday and Saturday nights from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

According to the restaurant's press release it's hoping for a "speedy renovation/rejuvenation." So, be on the look out for an update Andrew Blair's interior soon!

Nick LaVecchia's Battleground Steakhouse and Bar in Kings Mountain

Charlotte restaurateur Nick LaVecchia of LaVecchia's Seafood Grille and Nix Burger & Brew in uptown, keeps moving further down I-85. First, there was Old Stone Steakhouse in Belmont, then Nick's Steak & Taphouse in Gastonia, and in March he opened Battleground Steakhouse and Bar in Kings Mountain.

Wine Down Wednesdays at Vin Master

Ok, I realize it's Thursday, but it's never too early to start planning on drinking wine. So put this on your calendar for next Wednesday:

The new Vin Master wine shop in Atherton Mills is offering free wine tastings from 6 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday. The evenings include live acoustic music and a selection of wines by the owner and sommelier, Chris Woodrow. And, as the shop is focused on organic and sustainable wines, and bottles start at $10, you can feel good about this evening activity.

Center City Green Market

The Green Market is back at Trade and Tryon for the summer!. Open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the market features regional farmers and producers. Here's a list of this season's vendors:
