Heist Brewery will host a grand opening celebration tonight, October 19, beginning at 6 p.m.
The event will feature drink specials, free food samples from 6 to 7 p.m., outdoor games, giveaways, and live music by the Josh Carter Band and The Dread Nots.
If you go, seek out the dishes that haven't yet made the menu, like these bacon-wrapped dates that come with a fruit puree. (Another tip: try the Ol' #17, a cocktail featuring Hendricks gin, sour mix, fresh rosemary, house made lemon soda, and strawberry puree. Associate editor Lisa Rab can't stop raving about it.)
Heist plans to donate 10 percent of today's proceeds to the Charlotte Fire Department.
