It’s forecasted to be 60-degree weather over the next three days, and you can heat things up a little more by attending these events.

Tuesday, January 24

CharlotteONE (weekly event)
Okay, so this isn't a party like most of the events on this list (unless you party for Jesus), but it does have a social aspect and we mix it up here on Dusk Till Dawn. Hundreds of twenty- and thirty-somethings flock to CharlotteONE for a spiritual connection in a contemporary, hip way. Held Tuesday evenings while in season, this week’s installment features Pastor Todd Phillips from Dallas, Texas, who will discuss moral law and the standard for Christian ethics. Next Tuesday’s event is the Souper Bowl of Caring Extravaganza with David Crowder. 7 p.m. First United Methodist Church, 501 N. Tryon St., charlotteone.org.

Butter Tuesday (weekly event)
It's essentially college night at this posh nightclub, when guys and girls are admitted at ages 18 and older. Drink specials include $3 domestic beers, $4 royal flush, $5 well vodka drinks, and $100 vodka bottles (if you're 21 and older, of course). Music by DJs Ahuff and Ciprian, and a DJ on the patio. 10 p.m. Admission price varies; guest list, Tuesday@buttercharlotte.com; VIP table reservations, viptables@buttercharlotte.com. Butter NC, at NC Music Factory, 950 NC Music Factory Blvd., buttercharlotte.com.

Wednesday, January 25

Drinking Made Easy - Charlotte
Nationally broadcasted show, Drinking Made Easy, puts the spotlight on Charlotte's drinking culture this week (read my review of the episode). VBGB Beer Hall and Garden, Dixie’s Tavern, Prohibition, and The Philosopher’s Stone Tavern are among the local bars featured. Feel free to come out to any of them on this night to watch the show. 8 p.m. HDNet (channels 306 on DirecTV, 362 on Dish Network, and 1105 on AT&T U-verse), drinkingmadeeasy.com.

Osso Wednesday (weekly event)
This luxe restaurant and lounge has been open for a month now. Have you checked it out yet? After dinner, DJs start playing in the lounge. This week features DJs Ahuff, Ciprian, and Eduoard. Late-night menu and bottle service available. 9:30 p.m. Osso Restaurant and Lounge, at NC Music Factory, 1000 NC Music Factory Blvd., ossocharlotte.com.

Thursday, January 26

Power Play Package
Support the Charlotte Checkers and do a little partying along the way. All-inclusive package includes pre-party with two complimentary drinks at Prohibition, 5-7 p.m.; lower-level ticket to the Charlotte Checkers vs. Rockford Ice Hogs game at Time Warner Cable Arena, 7 p.m.; and a post-party with one complimentary drink back at the bar starting at 9 p.m. $15. Prohibition, 200 N. Tryon St., ticketssoeasy.com, prohibitionclt.com.

Tequila Therapy (weekly event)
If you're having a stressful week, Vida offers a cure. Enjoy $5 Vida margaritas and $20 pitchers of margarita or sangria. This is part of the new late-night offerings at this Mexican restaurant and bar, also featuring music and $2 tacos after 9 p.m. 5-11 p.m. Vida Mexican Kitchen y Cantina, inside EpiCentre, 210 E. Trade St., vidacantina.com.

Golda’s Celebrity Birthday Bash
I don’t know Golda personally, but she’s got a lot of famous friends. Scheduled to appear at her party this Thursday are rappers Trina, Maino, and Queen Pen (each scheduled to perform), along with Yandy Smith from VH1’s Love & Hip Hop. Hosted by Obie the Promoter, with music by DJ SNS. 10 p.m. $25-$50; VIP tables available. Lux, 200 E. Bland St., ez-tixx.com, luxcharlotte.com.

About This Blog

Girls just want to have fun. Boys will be boys. You’re an adult now. Sure, you have more responsibilities than ever and your time is increasingly pressed. But it’s imperative that you make time for happy hour. That you check out that new nightclub while it’s still the hot, new thing. Dusk Till Dawn will help you navigate Charlotte’s nightlife scene, telling you where to go and when to go there.

About Jarvis

You may have seen Jarvis Holliday’s byline in Charlotte magazine and other local publications, maybe on a story in which he’s interviewed a prominent official or written about a serious issue. Well, not here. He’s taking the night off because you should as well (and maybe the next morning, too). Club owners and promoters will love him if they’re on their A-game. But if their parties are lame, he’s calling them on it. Look at his face. Do you think he cares who doesn’t like it? Follow him on Twitter @HollidayInk.
