Almost Famous show captures Charlotte's rising comedians

The monthly Almost Famous Comedy Show at the Charlotte Comedy Zone is becoming one of the best shows for local comedy. It's ran by Blayr Nias, a talented commedienne, who has an eye for getting some of Charlotte's best and brightest onto the stage.

To up the stakes the show is a competition with the winner taking home a feature spot for the Comedy Zone.

The next Almost Famous showcase is scheduled for March 26 at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Comedy Zone's website.

The show includes Mello Mike, Thomas Noel, Adam Cohen, Rusty Haynes, Jarwan Nelson and is hosted by A.J. Ellis (who is making a triumphant return to a Charlotte stage after an absense) and featuring Tony Boswell.
