02/25/12Huffington Post Sending Two-Dozen Citizen Journalists to Cover 2012 RNC and DNC
The Huffington Post is giving two-dozen citizen journalists the opportunity to cover the 2012 presidential-nominating conventions. Howard Fineman, editorial director for AOL Huffington Post Media Group, made the announcement this week. HuffPost is one of the largest news websites in the world, branding itself as “The Internet Newspaper.” But within the media industry it probably has as many critics as it does fans, often criticized for how it drives a substantial amount of traffic to its site through content aggregation, and for a sizeable portion of its original content it doesn’t compensate its writers/bloggers. 02/21/12Prestigious Panel of Judges will Choose ‘Signature Dish of Charlotte’
In October, I told you about the contest Harvest Moon Grille had kicked off in search of the Signature Dish of Charlotte (“What Dish Would You Serve the Obamas?”). So, I joined in on the 12:20 p.m. conference call that corresponded with today’s announcement by the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) that Los Angeles Mayor Antonio... 02/02/12New Charlotte in 2012 Logo Tells ‘Story’
Below is the logo you’ve gotten accustomed to seeing represent the Charlotte in 2012 Convention Host Committee for more than a year, since the city was in the midst of its recruitment efforts to land the Democratic National Convention (the Dems selected Charlotte one year ago yesterday).
Below is the host committee’s new logo, released today.
