11/19/102020 Vision Plan thoughts
On the evening of Thursday, November 18, I sat in on the final community workshop for the Center City 2020 Vision Plan. Actually, workshop is a bit of a misnomer; it was really more of a presentation that was open to the general public. Attendees were invited to fill out comment cards at the end of the show. To be fair, Charlotte Center City Partners, the group that is putting together the 2020 Vision Plan, hosted two intense workshops earlier in the process at which anyone and everyone had a chance to offer input and ideas. In a hurry, I can opt instead for a falafel from the Israelis on the next block; I might do even better with the sizzling lamb from the Arab at the corner. Fifty yards away are my barbers: Giuseppe, Franco and Salvatore, all... Read more » Posted at 01:31 PM | Permalink | Comments: 1 |

Richard Thurmond is editor and associate publisher of Charlotte magazine and its four sister publications. He started his journalism career as a sportswriter before he realized sportswriting = bad hours and low pay. Oh well. He's been on staff since 1995 and editor since 1999. Also, he thinks he is funnier than he really is, which is helpful information for reading this blog. Got something to say but too chicken to comment?
