When Morgan Genty and Caroline King graduated from N.C. State in 2007, they entered corporate America, but they didn’t give up on the dream of opening a boutique. Moonlighting with an online store (vestique.com) in 2010 proved an overwhelming success, prompting Genty and King to think about a retail space. In October 2011, they opened Vestique Raleigh. The shop, which stocks stylish women’s clothing, handbags, shoes, and jewelry, is known for its low price points, with printed frocks for $40 and necklaces for $20. Charlotte gained a sister store in May, where Vestique received a majority of its online orders. (1532 East Blvd.; 704-910-6426)
