Books: Stories that Shape Us

Feb 9, 2019 to May 11, 2019
10:00 AM until 04:00 PM

This event occurs weekly, on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

This new exhibit at the Kings Mountain Historical Museum will highlight how books have been a part of our lives for centuries.  Books tell stories within their covers, but they also tell stories outside of them--stories about who owned them, how they were used, why they were used. There is great power in the written word to shape minds and influence actions; that power comes from those outside stories that determine the words on the page. The stories within a book and the stories surrounding it can tell us a lot about a person and a community. Come and explore some of the history that shapes Kings Mountain through the stories of books.
