Toscana

Augusto Conte's first restaurant remains one of the city's best spots for a great, no-fuss Italian meal. The staff takes good care of its customers here, many of whom are longtime regulars. They keep coming back for extraordinarily simple yet well-made Tuscan dishes—grilled fish with herbs, classic veal scaloppini, and rich risotto.

Toscana on the Cheap
While Toscana doesn't typically run specials, it does offer affordable everyday menu options. The gnocchi, ravioli, and cannelonni are all made in house from scratch and go for $16. Or stop by for lunch, when you can get the same-size portion for only twelve bucks.
