Triple C Raising Funds for Charlotte Magazine Beer Writer

Published:

McKenzie

THE FIRST of multiple events across Charlotte’s craft beer community benefiting our dear beer writer, Matt McKenzie, arrives this Saturday at Triple C Brewing. Matt was recently diagnosed with sinus cancer, with a recent surgery at Wake Forest and upcoming treatment for this rare ailment. The "Matt McKenzie Bottle Share Benefit" runs 11 a.m. to noon, with a $5 or more donation requested to help the writer's family with related medical expenses. (Proceeds of draft beers will also be donated, as well as funds from a silent auction of beer and merch.)

Info on additional fundraising is ahead. But until then, we encourage craft beer fans to head out to Triple C on Saturday, and also, read just a few examples of Matt’s fantastic feature work for us below.
