Monte Smith has done a bang-up job re-creating a classic French restaurant (think NYC's Balthazar), and diners react enthusiastically at brunch, lunch, and dinner. Lots of mirrors, wood, and black-and-white along with bowls of cafe au lait, crepes (get the smoked ham and egg), steak frites, and various forms of Benedict make for a transporting experience. Bonus: Amelie's French Bakery runs the pastry case.
