New Year's Eve Parties in Charlotte
AND JUST like that, 2018 is coming to a close. But not before one more big night out. As usual, Charlotte is throwing a slew of parties to help ring in 2019. Take your pick from these parties below. Happy new year!
The Ritz Carlton
Uptown, 9 p.m., $44
The Ritz Carlton’s 7,000-square-foot ballroom takes the stage tonight in this ultra-fancy party. Your ticket in tonight includes passed appetizers, a photo booth and access to multiple bar stations.
Levine Museum of the New South
Uptown, 9 p.m., $108
The South Charlotte chapter of Jack and Jill of America is throwing this fundraiser tonight, and it’s Harlem Nights-themed. Come dressed in your finest flapper attire or Roaring ‘20s ensemble and prepare for a night of dancing, eating and drinking. Tickets include heavy appetziers from Mert’s and access to the museum.
Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts + Culture
Uptown, 9 p.m., $44
At this party, revelers will have access to three floors of entertainment, three DJs, a photo booth and more. Partygoers willing to shell out $43 more will also get access to an open bar, food and party favors.
Uptown, 8 p.m., $65
Billed as the “official” Charlotte New Year’s Eve party, this event features two levels of entertainment, two DJs, party favors, a photo booth and appearances by the Carolina Panthers’ Top Cats. VIP tickets, which cost an additional $95 also include an open bar.
Lucky’s Bar & Arcade
Uptown, 8 p.m., $66
An open bar and a champagne toast tonight here will only set you back $66. A DJ will also be on site to play music as you drink from the open bar and play video games to ring in 2019.
Seoul Food Meat Company
Uptown, 7 p.m., $70
The Southern-Korean fusion barbecue restaurant is throwing a casino-themed party to bid adieu to 2018. A ticket to this party includes access to all the games, an appetizer buffet from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., party favors and a Champagne toast.
Ink N Ivy
Uptown, 9 p.m., $113
At this James Bond-themed all-inclusive party, partygoers can choose between a martini and Champagne bar and another bar that serves unlimited beer, wine and liquor drinks. The party also features passed appetizers and a late-night buffet.
Howl at the Moon
Uptown, 7 p.m., $115
Howl at the Moon in the EpiCentre is throwing a big bash to bid farewell to 2018. Tickets to this party come with an open bar from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m., a free buffet from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., party favors and a Champagne toast. There are also packages for $40, $75 and $95 with corresponding levels of offerings.

Rich and Bennett, the duo who bring you Charlotte’s St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl, return with their New Year’s Eve bash. Tickets to this party include appetizers, drinks and party favors.
CLT New Year’s Eve

The city’s official New Year’s Eve Party is at South Tryon Street and Levine Avenue for the Arts. The free festivities include a DJ, live music, lighting of the Queen City crown and midnight fireworks.
Merchant & Trade
Uptown, 7 p.m., $174
It’s a Roaring ‘20s-themed party up on the roof tonight at Merchant & Trade. The music starts at 8 p.m., and the party goes until 1 a.m. Tickets include appetizers, a dinner buffet, a Champagne toast and two discounted drinks.
Queen Park Social
LoSo, 9 p.m., $18
As you look forward to 2019, this party asks you to look back. It’s a retro-themed evening at Queen Park Social, and there are multiple ticket options, starting as low as $18 and going as high as $81. The latter includes an all-inclusive drink package and buffet, while the former just includes a Champagne toast.
South End, 9 p.m., $125
Aerial CLT takes over Slate Billiards and Oak Room tonight for Cirque du South End. Tickets tonight include access to the aerial acts, of course, but also an open bar, party favors, a Champagne toast and more.

This swanky lounge is throwing a New Year’s Eve Party with party favors, an open bar, DJ, Champagne toast and buffet. The party goes until 2 a.m.

EatWorkPlay CLT hosts this party at the Omni Hotel with multiple levels of catering. For $65, a ticket buys entry to the party, snacks and a Champagne toast. The most expensive ticket, at $145, buys all that, an open bar, access to VIP areas and more.

It’s a masquerade party tonight at Blackfin, so bring your mask. Tickets to this masked soiree include a Champagne toast and appetizers.

This Irish Pub is throwing a Roaring ‘20s-themed party and features an open bar, appetizers, a dinner buffet, Champagne toast and more.

TILT is throwing an all-inclusive party tonight that also features “tiaras, streamers and noisemakers.” The bash also features a Champagne toast at midnight.

In what may be one of the best deals in Charlotte for New Year’s Eve, this Elizabeth pub is offering an open bar, breakfast buffet, Champagne toast and a DJ all evening for less than $50.
