Nuvolé Rooftop TwentyTwo Names New Food and Beverage Director
Sommelier Mark Genter will oversee the AC hotel’s culinary and cocktail program
The Seared Pork Belly is on the summer menu, coming with Lexington sauce, watermelon, a drizzle of bourbon maple syrup, watercress, and spicy pistachio.
As Nuvolé Rooftop TwentyTwo unrolls its new summer menu, the uptown bar and lounge has also named a new food and beverage director. Mark Genter, a sommelier with nearly 20 years in the restaurant and hospitality industry, will oversee the food and beverage program at AC Hotel and Residence Inn Charlotte City Center and its sleek rooftop bar, Nuvolé.
Executive chef Roy Darling will continue to head up Nuvolé’s kitchen with sous chef Desiree Ford. “Nuvolé” an Italian word for “cloud,” has built a reputation for shareable plates, charcuterie boards, and signature cocktails like the Nuvolé GT. Through the end of summer, their menu will include some new seasonal dishes and a fresh cocktail menu with “warm weather flavors.”
Look for items like the seared pork belly ($15) with Lexington sauce, pickled watermelon, a bourbon maple syrup drizzle, watercress, and spicy pistachio; and blackberry barbecue wings ($12) with jicama and radish. On the cocktail menu, the summer gin ($14) features Uncle Val’s Gin, lime juice, a pinch of cracked pepper, Fever Tree Elderflower Tonic, rosemary, and peach.
Nuvolé Rooftop TwentyTwo is located at 220 East Trade Street on the 22nd floor of the AC Hotel / Residence Inn at the Epicentre.
