Ramen Soul Closes in Mooresville

Ramen Soul, the Mooresville spot owned by Tim and Melanie Groody of Fork! in Cornelius, has closed. The ramen and dim sum restaurant opened in 2017, with its variety of dishes first appearing on our website here. As first reported by Unpretentious Palate, the business plans to re-open in a new location "or with financial backing.”

Tim Groody is considered one of the co-founders of Charlotte's local food movement and sourcing ingredients through operations like the Matthews Farmers Market. Fork! most recently nabbed a Best of the Best Award in 2017, with a best "Farm-to-Table" title.
