Not exactly sure how Divine could have won this one. I have visited both cupcake shops, and was super excited when Divine opened because I live in Dilworth and after my first visit I was disappointed. The cupcakes were dry, the icing looked sloppy, there was no consistency - every cupcake looked different. Their red velvet icing was beyond gritty, I don't think anyone likes their icing crunchy. I went back a few more times to give them the benefit of the doubt but each experience became worse. The place itself is always dirty inside and for being a cupcake and frozen yogurt place, their yogurt machines were always down but the toppings were still sitting out. They do not bother putting inserts in their boxes, they just slab icing on the bottom of the cupcake to prevent them from shifting in the box, how could I serve guests cupcakes with icing all over the liner? I now only go to Polka Dot, they bake fresh everyday and their cupcakes not only look amazing, they taste just as amazing. They have a different "Chef Special" each day in addition to their regular menu, and I get so excited to check their website for new flavors, they never disappoint!
