Felix’s Empanadas' First Brick-And-Mortar Coming to Optimist Hall

Felix’s Empanadas will open its first brick-and-mortar location at Optimist Hall, the massive mixed-use site opening in early summer. The popular Argentinian food truck and Village Juice Company, a raw juice and clean food stall, are the latest businesses announced for the 147,000-square-foot, redeveloped structure that was formerly a gingham mill. The Optimist Park site comes from Charlotte-based White Point Partners and Atlanta-based Paces Properties.

The Felix’s Empanadas stall will be 323 square feet. The business is known for its savory and sweet empanadas, with its truck appearing at breweries and other locales. (Read our feature on owner Felix Godward and its spread in popularity here.) There is still another brick-and-mortar location planned inside Latta Arcade for later in the year.

Village Juice Company, which will occupy a 500-square-foot stall with its cold pressed juice products, finds its third North Carolina location at Optimist Hall. The Winston Salem-based company sells juices, smoothies, salads, grain bowls, toasts, and more.
