What: w xyz at Aloft Hotel Vibe: The modern and sophisticated bar and lounge inside Aloft—which markets itself as a “hip hotel"—has become a popular destination during a night out uptown. Five floors above the EpiCentre rooftop, the bar features brightly colored walls and modern lighting that creates an energetic and festive atmosphere. From floor-to-ceiling windows guests can look down onto the bustling entertainment complex below and even into the hip Suite nightclub. The music is mostly pop and hip-hop (DJs are brought in on select nights), but this is a space for mingling over martinis, not showing off your dance moves. Who's There: You'll find bar-hoppers coming by for a drink before heading to one of the other bars or restaurants at the EpiCentre. Plus, there are out-of-towners mingling on modern chairs and ottomans since this is, after all, a hotel. What Sets It Apart: It's a great place to meet new people and it's one of the few nightlife venues at the EpiCentre that doesn't have a cover charge. Where: 210 E.
