Running for the Cure
Whether you’re pacing or racing, you can show your support for the fight against breast cancer by crossing the finish line during one of these October races
Put on your pink kicks for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5K on Saturday, October 1. Competitive 5K kickoff, 7:15 a.m.; recreational 5K, 7:50 a.m. All proceeds go to Susan G. Komen of Charlotte; register at komencharlotte.org.
Bust out your pink laces for this weekend-long amble. The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer: IN IT TO END IT starts Saturday, October 22, with a 26.2-mile route and continues Sunday for 13.1 miles. Walker arrival is Saturday, 5:30-6 a.m.; register at avonwalk.org.
