Come into Bloom

Charlotte native opens new boutique in Myers Park

Kendrick Allen shows off her own chic—and colorful—sense of style in her new boutique, KK Bloom.

Chris Edwards

Ever since she was a teenager perusing fashion magazines and trying new styles for school, Charlotte native Kendrick Allen knew she wanted to own a clothing boutique. Now twenty-nine, with five years of retail experience under her belt, Allen is opening KK Bloom Boutique this fall in Selwyn Corners shopping center. The new shop, which offers looks for women of all ages, features trendy jewelry, accessories, and apparel. Inside the lavender-walled boutique with hot-pink-accented décor, you’ll find racks of flirty and modern skirts, elegant tops, and cocktail dresses by top designers including Kensie and Dolce Vita. Glass-top tables display stylish jewelry such as By Boe’s nature-inspired pendants, as well as bags from well-known lines like Hobo. Look for the store’s opening in September.
