Just as a mirror reflects and frames its environment, the design studio and retail store at Brock Moran Home can take a client’s vision and make it real. Throughout the store and design center, high-end furniture, floor coverings, tableware, linens, accessories, and artwork are showcased in rooms that flow harmoniously. In the dining space, a curated collection of china and crystal suggests endless possibilities for all things culinary and convivial. The gathering room offers a peaceful respite. Tranquil bedroom vignettes capture a calm that clients will want to create in their own homes.

LOGAN CYRUS

Brock McLendon worked with an architecture firm to bring his vision for his new showroom and design center, Brock Moran Home, to life.

Its overall sensibility is what one client called “soft modern,” a term owner Brock McLendon embraces. It combines Modernism’s clean lines and monochromatic hues with elements of unexpected warmth or color for a style that can be as restrained or expressive as a client desires. “It’s streamlined, not ultracontemporary or traditional,” McLendon says.

McLendon—Moran is a family name—spent many months supervising the construction of the 5,500-square-foot space which opened in May at Piedmont Town Center. But there’s much more to the Brock Moran Home experience than simply selecting a vase or a serving tray to incorporate into one’s existing decor or to give as a gift—although it’s hard to resist the artful objects on display.

McLendon emphasizes the importance of developing an interior-design plan that’s as individual as each client. “It’s collaborative exchange where we’re not dictating; we’re listening,” he explains. “It’s an experiential process.”

And those who are smart enough to know a good thing when they see it can rest assured knowing they’ll find the perfect mirror to complete and enhance the picture.
