15 North to open on Montford Drive

Restaurant partners chef Brett McKee and Steve Palmer (the same pair who opened Charleston’s 17 North Roadside Kitchen restaurant) have announced that they’ll be opening another Roadside Kitchen on the popular Montford Drive in August of this year. This one will be called 15 North and will offer a menu featuring fresh ingredients from local growers and innovative dishes, similar to 17 North. (Wondering where the name came from? 17 North is named after its location on Highway 17 North in Charleston. 15 North is named after its address at 1513 on the north side of Montford Drive.)

Dishes will be similar to the 17 North location which currently features appetizers such as old school deviled eggs and crispy blue crab fritters with tomato basil relish and horseradish cream, as well as entrees like shrimp and crawfish creole with Carolina gold rice and boneless buttermilk fried chicken with mashed potatoes, braised greens, and tasso gravy. The menu items will range in price from approximately $5 to $19 and there will be a wine list featuring fifty bottles (25 red, 25 white).

The restaurant will be serving dinner Monday through Saturday at its new location. For more information, check out The Indigo Road.
