A Lowe’s in Indian Trail?

Sources tell me that a Lowe's is slated to be built at the intersection of Highway 74 and Wesley Chapel Stouts Rd. in Indian Trail.

This is big news considering there's a Lowe's in Monroe approximately 6 miles down the road and another in Matthews about 5 miles away. If this sounds familiar, that's because it sort of is. At the Rea Road exit off 485, there is a Target in Stonecrest while just a few miles down the road is another Target in Blakeney Village. Supposedly, the Stonecrest Target is the busiest Target in the country, which explains why another one was erected in such close proximity.

Could Lowe's be on the same path as Target? Certainly sounds like it—Union County is the 15th fastest growing county in the COUNTRY and Indian Trail is just one town showing the growth. A Super Target shopping center has already broken ground in Wesley Chapel (just around the corner from the supposed Lowe's in Indian Trail) while just up the road in Waxhaw in Cureton shopping center a Harris Teeter and another Target have gone up or are being built. That all in addition to the Presbyterian mega medical health center being built on Highway 74 across from the Target there.

We'll keep you posted as soon as we know more.
