Happy St. Patrick's Day! If you're looking to celebrate the holiday honoring the memory of an orphan turned priest turned saint (and enemy of snakes), there are more than a few Irish joints around Charlotte where you can get a taste of the Emerald Isle.

Ri Ra: Guinness-braised short ribs are a welcome complement to that Guinness you're throwing back today. If you're in more of a grazing mood, opt for the squeaky cheese poutine featuring handcut chips, Guinness short rib gravy, and Ashe County squeaky cheese.

Tyber Creek: They've got "enough Guinness to feed Ireland twice" plus tons of traditional Irish dishes like corned beef and cabbage. This South End pub also features an Irish Breakfast made up of eggs, rasher, sausage, black and white pudding, tomato, mushrooms, and baked beans.

Dandelion Market: A special St. Patrick's Day menu has all the Irish dishes you're craving. Corned beef with cabbage and potatoes; shepherd's pie; bangers & mash featuring Irish sausage; and curry fries featuring a side of traditional Irish curry sauce are all up for grabs.

P.J. O'Reilly's: Irish stew with big chunks of lamb, carrots, celery, onions, and potatoes will have you doing a jig. Try a green beer with a delicious slice of Irish Creme Cake for a sweeter side of St. Patrick's Day.

Connolly's on Fifth: A U2 cover band will provide your background music at Connolly's while you throw back a Guinness and enjoy traditional Irish fare via a food truck. Fare on the menu will be traditional fish and chips, corned beef, and potatoes.

Killington's Restaurant & Pub: They've rolled out the best of Ireland at Killington's in honor of St. Patrick. Guinness beef stew is on the menu as is a Dublin fritatta, a corned beef platter, and corned beef spring rolls. Not to mention the Irish drink specials including Guinness, Killians, Baby Guinness, Irish Car Bombs, Black Apple Shots, Irish Coffee, and Irish Juleps.

Fitzgerald's Irish Pub: For a bit of lighter fare, try the Fitzgerald's cod sandwich featuring a fresh white piece of Atlantic cod hand-battered in Harp Lager then topped with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and coleslaw on a Brioche bun.
