Art Class: Paint This Colorful Elephant for Your Home

Craft with a cause this Tuesday evening. All proceeds go to Make-a-Wish Central and Western North Carolina.

Want to put your crafting skills to work? Whip up some of your own whimsical wall art this Tuesday evening at The Gallery South End with teacher Evelyn Henson. Not only will you get to paint fun elephant portrait to hang in your home, but you will also be able to help others in need.

The art class is known as Paint a Wish, benefiting Make-a-Wish Central and Western North Carolina. As you’re given step-by-step painting instructions, you’ll also learn more about the Make-a-Wish program, a non-profit organization committed to granting wishes to children ailed with life-threatening medical illnesses.

You’ll want to sign up fast, though. The class is quickly approaching, and spots are dwindling. It is Tuesday, August 2, from 5:45-7:30 p.m. Head to Evelyn Henson’s website to reserve your spot. It is $42.50 for the class and your masterpiece you get to take home. All of the proceeds will go to Make-a-Wish Central and Western North Carolina.
