Bacardi V.I.Pea Drink Recipe
It’s the weekend. Finally. And, Charlotte’s got a lot going on this weekend with concerts, a new club opening, and theater productions all over town. (You can check over at Charlotte magazine’s shopping blog for specifics on those productions.)
Tonight the Black Eyed Peas will be performing at Time Warner Cable Arena—and in case you can’t catch their performance, but still are hoping to spot Fergie in the flesh, they’re confirmed guests at the city’s newest club, Butter, for the official Bacardi USA After Party (the tour is being sponsored by Bacardi).
Which brings us to the food/drink portion of this blog. We’ve got the recipe for the official Black Eyed Peas Cocktail for the tour, The Bacardi V.I.Pea (catchy, huh?)
1.5 oz Bacardi Superior Rum
0.5 oz Domaine de Canton Ginger liqueur
0.5 oz Fresh lemon juice
0.5 oz simple syrup
Splash of ginger ale.
Shake all with ice except ginger ale. Strain into a chilled martini glass or an ice filled rocks glass. Top with a splash of ginger ale. Garnish with a lime twist and four dried black eyed peas.
So, even if you can’t make it to the after-party at Butter (which you should because this club is worth checking out), now you can make the drink for yourself.
