Baseball & BBQ
Queen City Q will help the Knights kick off their season
With all the buzz surrounding our Charlotte Knights lately, of course there'd be a food angle. And I'm not talking the usual ballpark food (mmm gray hotdogs and strange "nachos") …
If you haven't already heard, the Charlotte Knights and Queen City Q are partnering to serve fans delicious BBQ at BB&T Ballpark. As part of this new venture, Queen City Q will become the Official BBQ of the Charlotte Knights and will have locations inside BB&T Ballpark for all games and events.
“We’re incredibly excited to be working with the Knights and can’t wait to serve all of their fans,” said Bryan Meredith, Queen City Q’s Managing Partner. “BB&T Ballpark is an amazing facility and will be a really fun venue to enjoy baseball and more. We’ll be serving up a variety of great BBQ and some ballpark-only surprises. Plus, we’re continuing one of the main reasons we opened our restaurant in the first place, and that’s to create jobs.”
If you've never been, Queen City Q is located at 225 E. 6th Street in uptown and dishes out a variety of BBQ from eastern NC, western NC and SC. All the BBQ is created in house from homemade recipes.
The Knights will open BB&T Ballpark on Friday, April 11 at 7:05 p.m. against the Norfolk Tides. Season tickets, as well as group tickets for the 2014 inaugural season at BB&T Ballpark are on sale and can be purchased by phone at (980) 207-0079, by email at seasonseats@charlotteknights.
