Friday, June 28
Friday Live! at the Factory (final week)
The weekly series concludes this evening, featuring live music by Cracker and American Aquarium. Admission to this event also gets you into several of the surrounding NC Music Factory venues, such as The Saloon, Wet Willie’s, Osso, VBGB, Label, and Saddle Up. 6-11 p.m. $10 at the door. The Kinsey Collection Viewing Party
Herb and Felicia Gray host this event, giving you a chance to view one of the largest African American art collections in the country. This party series has been rocking each Friday this month. Silent disco is a concept in which guests dance to music playing in wireless headphones, coming directly from the DJ. Elope To Paris: Fashion Gala and Masquerade Ball

Kiss Anchor Island (weekly event)
This on-the-water party series takes place each Saturday through Labor Day weekend. Cruise on the yacht with Kiss 95.1 FM personalities while enjoying music, cocktails, and fun in the sun. 8:30-9 a.m. cruise registration and yacht shuttle pick up at Fox & Hound Huntersville, 8711 Lindholm Dr.; shuttles to yacht will start at 9:15 a.m. Cruise departs from Morningstar Marinas at Kings Point at 10 a.m. and returns at 2 p.m. $10. All American Pub’s First Birthday

The Charlotte version of the national PlayDate movement returns. Relive the fun of your youth, but in an adult environment, with games such as Giant Jenga, Monopoly, UNO, musical chairs, and hula hoops, as well as video games. There’ll also be drinks, dancing, and music by DJ Genius of Atlanta. Hosted by Imari, the founder of PlayDate. 9 p.m.-2 a.m. $10 or two for $18 in advance; $15 at the door. Mix and mingle at this posh venue, while you’re treated to live jazz by 5th & York, followed by music by DJ Flemingo. Su Casa Two-Year Anniversary
Described by its organizers (photographer Jasiatic and writer Carlton Hargro) as an “oasis for Charlotte’s culturally starved,” this monthly party celebrates two years of bringing together eclectic crowds. There’ll be a performance by acclaimed vocalist Muhsinah, along with music by DJ 2-Tone and DJ Justice, plus a poster exhibit, face painting, photography, and more. 10 p.m.-2 a.m. $10 in advance; $15 at the door. Social Media Day Charlotte 2013
Created by Mashable in 2010 to celebrate social media and the “digital revolution,” this annual event is recognized worldwide. And Charlotte gets in on the action. Come out for an afternoon of fun and networking with fellow social media enthusiasts and win prizes, including a mini portrait package from Lindsay Wynne Photography, goodies from Constant Contact, a free fitness class from FTF Charlotte, jewelry from Avant Garland, and more. 2 p.m. Free.
