Celebrity Style: Bows

I have mixed feelings on bows. There is still a part of me that is extremely girly and loves the idea of a bow (that same part also enjoys anything that is pink, sparkly, and looks a little like a princess). However, there is an old, wise part of me that says, “If you’re over the age of 12, it’s time to put aside the bows. Period.”

However, that old, wise part of me is being repeatedly ignored this spring because bows are everywhere. They’re on shirts, dresses, jewelry, and of course, shoes. And last night, they were all over the place at the Oscars. Amanda Seyfried, Heidi Klum, Jessica Biel, and plenty of others were sporting some very distinct versions of the bow.

Of course, I don’t necessarily ever take my fashion cues from Jessica Biel, but it’s looking like she might be on to something. It’s looking like I may have to just push that old, wise part of me to the side and succumb to a bow or two in my spring wardrobe—I just hope I can find one that’s pink and sparkly.
