Coming Soon: CB Italia
A new Myers Park eatery from restaurateur Bruce Moffett

This fall Bruce Moffett, along with brother Kerry Moffett, will add a third restaurant to their lineup (Barrington’s, Good Food on Montford). The new eatery, CB Italia (CB stands for “cibo buono,” or “good food” in Italian), will live inside the historic Reynolds-Gourmajenko house on Providence Road. “I’ve always been kind of space-driven,” Moffett says, talking about the new restaurant’s home, a 1920s house built in the Tuscan revival style. “When you look at the building, you’re like, ‘I guess we’re doing Italian.’”
Location: Myers Park (715 Providence Rd.)
Opening: September or October
Cuisine: rustic Italian trattoria fare, served family-style
The vibe: upscale casual
Square footage: 3,400
Number of seats: 80
Beer/Wine/Liquor: full-service bar plus an extensive wine list
Chef’s most excited about: featuring local chicken on the menu. “I’d love to do chicken cacciatore,” he says.
Why you should look forward to it: After creating standout restaurants in small spaces with Barrington’s and Good Food, it’ll be interesting to see what the Moffetts will do with such an expansive space. Expect a wood-burning oven (for pizza, bread, and roasted meats and fish), plus lots of handmade pastas.
