Cooking Class and James Beard Dinner at Blue

This Sunday, September 11th, Chef Gene Briggs at Blue Restaurant & Bar is sharing his secrets on how to prepare some of his delicious dishes like Venetian spaghetti with sauce and mixed seafood or creamy rice with peas and pancetta. Each dish (there are four counting a tiramisu dessert) can be paired with wine that is available at a discount price. The class is $39.95 and reservations can be made by calling 704.927.2583. Tickets are still on sale for the James Beard Celebrity Chef Tour, which Blue will be hosting on Wednesday, September 22 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. The evening includes a multiple course dinner paired with wine, beer, and spirits—as well as a chance to interact with some of the region’s top chefs including Bruce Moffett from Barrington’s in Charlotte, Eli Kirshtein from Eno in Atlanta, and, of course, Gene Briggs from Blue.
