It's arguably the biggest dining-out night of the year, and Charlotte has a ton of restaurants offering specials for December 31. Below we've listed out the specials as 2014 waves goodbye. Be sure to make reservations for any dining out you do, as most eateries around the Queen City will be packed.

Osso: NC Music Factory's Italian restaurant is offering reservations from 5-11pm for a three-course dinner plus a bottle of Moet Chandon Imperial for $295 per couple. Additionally, $45-60 three course menu tier options are available from 5-8pm with reservations.

Nan & Byron's: A four-course menu, including half a bottle of Champagne for two or a full bottle for four is available for $55 from 5pm-7pm or $65 from 7pm-8pm. After 8pm, the four-course menu, Champagne, and post dinner dancing will be $75. There will be a Champagne toast at midnight, live countdown to the ball drop, party favors, and music. Available also is a $30 upgrade after dinner for the open bar and buffet, from 10pm-2am. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Levine Children's Hospital. 5Church: A four-course menu, including half a bottle of Champagne for two or a full bottle for four is available for $90 from 5pm-7pm or $100 from 7pm-8pm. After 8pm, the four-course menu, Champagne, and post dinner dancing will be $120. There will be a Champagne toast at midnight, live countdown to the ball drop, party favors, and music. Available also is a $50 upgrade after dinner for the open bar and buffet, from 10pm-2am. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Levine Children's Hospital.

Lumiere: The French eatery in Myers Park will be featuring a special New Year's Eve menu for the last day of 2014. For $75 per person, diners will enjoy an amuse of house smoked trout and fresh baked gougeres; a first course choice of foie gras, prawn, risotto or lobster; a second course choice of salt-roasted pears, endive and Iberico ham, or date salad; a third course choice of sea bass, tuna, lamb, boar, or Rossini; and a dessert option of walnut apple tart, chocolate cake with cherries jubilee, sticky toffee pudding, pineapple cake, or Grand Marnier Soufflé.

Basil: Basil's uptown location will be throwing a Mardi Gras themed New Year's Eve. Cover is $100 per person to include premium open bar, hor'douvres before midnight, Madri Gras party favors, a countdown to the ball drop, and a Champagne toast at midnight.

Passion8: For Gatsby-themed New Year's Eve, Passion8 is offering three dinner seatings at 5pm, 7pm, and 930pm on December 31. There will also be music, dancing, and a costume contest at 11pm.

Leroy Fox: Also going the Gatsby route, Leroy Fox is offering a $60 ticket (per person) to include specialty menu options, two signature cocktails, Champagne toast, entry into the after party, and a live jazz band. Dinner will  be served at 8pm with a cocktail reception scheduled from 10-1030pm. The after party runs from 1030pm-2am.

Blue: For $34.95 per person, Blue is offering three course first seating from 5-630pm. Entrees from the menu include barramundi, mushroom bolognese, and stuffed chicken breast. There will be live music from 9pm-2am. Reservations are available 5-11pm; a $5 cover will be added after 10pm. Enjoy a complimentary Champagne toast and party favors.

Vivace: According to head chef Mike Suppa, “We are going big for the last night of the year with ingredients you don’t see every day – things like quail eggs, artichoke silk and wild boar. The scallops we’re serving that night will be drizzled in Prosecco. It is going to be very special.” The restaurant’s special New Year’s Eve menu offers choices to suit every palate and is available for $55 per person or $80 per person for the food/wine pairings option.
