Fashion’s Night Out Charlotte this Thursday at NC Music Factory
Whether you’re a fashionista, aspiring designer, or just like to have a good time, you’ve likely had September 8 circled on your calendar for quite a while. The annual Fashion’s Night Out (FNO), which is centered in New York and has expanded to more than 100 cities nationwide, celebrates fashion and seeks to boost the industry, and it returns this Thursday with Charlotte taking part for the second straight year. You’ll find local FNO events at stores at SouthPark Mall and boutiques around the city. But here on Dusk Till Dawn, we tell you where the party at—as Jagged Edge would say. That would be Fashion’s Night Out Charlotte at NC Music Factory.
It’s an evening-long event beginning at 6 p.m. at the Music Factory’s outdoor fountain plaza. There will be a large trunk show showcasing boutiques and designers. The fashion show, which will run across a large catwalk extending across the plaza, will take place at 9 p.m. and feature local boutiques, fashion and jewelry designers, salons, and more than thirty models.
Samantha Busch, wife of NASCAR driver Kyle Busch, will help kick off the festivities. The event will also feature a complimentary open bar of Peroni Beer, complimentary hors d’oeuvres by Bask on Seaboard, swag bags, a raffle for a gift bag valued at $1,500, and music by DJs Eduoard, Ciprian, and Ahuff.
I attended FNO here last year and can tell you that not only were there hundreds of people in attendance, it was also a who’s-who, celebrity-infused crowd. Then once 10 p.m. hits and the fashion show is wrapping up, the party moves to Butter NC which is to feature a surprise guest performer. Your admission into the fashion event also gets you entry into Butter.
Tickets can be purchased online (click here) and are $10 for general admission standing room, $20 for a seated ticket, and $30 for VIP seated. A portion of proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.
