Alive After Five (special Wednesday edition)
The city’s largest, weekly after-work party is taking place a day earlier this week because of the holiday. Music by Right To Party on the rooftop stage. 5 p.m. Free; VIP tickets available. Third Annual 4th of July Block Party
Hang out in the Elizabeth neighborhood at this block party put on by Kennedy’s Premium Bar & Grill, Jackalope Jacks, and The Philosopher’s Stone Tavern. Drink specials include $2 Budweiser, $3 Brooklyn Summer Ale, $5 Cruzan Rum; plus $1 hot dogs and $2 burgers. Plaza Midwood July 4th Pig Pickin' and Gordon Street Block Party
Charlotte’s most eclectic neighborhood hosts a day of fun, featuring live music, street performers, contests, a water slide, vendors, and plenty of food and drinks from the area’s restaurants and bars. Buff Faye’s Friday Night Superhero vs. Villains Party Bus

This on-the-water party series takes place each Saturday through Labor Day weekend.
