Last month, Cristina Rojas-Agurcia, a.k.a. “The Batchmaker,” shared exclusively with Charlotte magazine that she’d reopen her beloved bakery this summer. Now we can reveal her new address.

The Batch House will reopen in Station West, the mixed-use space at 901 Berryhill Rd. Cristina says we can expect the same granny chic decor as her previous location, complete with a “Golden Girls” themed bathroom and a bubblegum pink exterior.

Until renovations to the 1500-square foot space are complete, she’ll host a series of pop-ups at Station West, with the first scheduled for May 8 at 10 a.m. Look for signature treats like Snickers Cheesecake, Dirty Oreo Truffles, and Oatmeal Creme Pies, plus quirky confections like Peanut Butter and Jelly Pop Tarts and Batcheroos.

The announcement comes five months after a flash flood destroyed the brick and mortar she opened alongside LaCa Projects in 2019. An army of friends and neighbors helped with the cleanup in the days following the flood, and Venmo donations poured in. Cristina moved to a commercial kitchen in November and December to finish her holiday orders, but she stopped all production in January.

Now that she’s finalized her new location, Cristina is unrolling a charitable initiative to give back to her community of supporters. “We’ll donate a percentage of all cookie sales to people who can’t afford counseling,” she says. “I got my masters in counseling, so it’s a way to tie both of my worlds together.”

The Batch House is targeting an August 1 grand opening. Check back for more updates in the coming months.
