Luce Ristorante & Bar

This is impresario Augusto Conté's signature spot, and with its juxtaposed modern and classical décor, Luce is one of the most beautiful restaurants in the city. Most of the time, the food and service are a match. The menu is Tuscan, with an excellent selection of housemade pastas (we're partial to the hand-rolled penne) and meat and seafood-based entrées. Don't expect fancy food here, but do expect it to be well made, and expect a crisp, professional wait staff.

Luce on the Cheap
The chef's tasting menu is a steal for $25. You'll get a four-course meal including a soup or salad, pasta or risotto, main course, and choice of three desserts. Served on Friday and Saturday nights, guests can call on the day they're dining to find out what the chef is serving that evening.
