Monday Night Football, Project Tuesday, Courvoisier Launch Party, and More this Week

Get the first week in October started off right by attending some of these cool events and parties.
Monday, October 3
Mainstream Mondays
It’s likely Charlotte’s largest weekly gathering for Monday Night Football. Last week, hundreds of fans turned out—many of them in their Cowboys and Redskins apparel—and expect another good turnout tonight for the Colts vs. Bucs game. The crowd varies week to week depending on which teams are playing, but you also have plenty of people who come out for the good food, drinks, and to hear music by DJ Shogun. Hosted by sports personality SG, and presented by Eddietainment. There’s also photography by Neil Nicholson, a trivia contest at halftime, and prize giveaways. 8 p.m. Free. Buffalo Wild Wings at NASCAR Hall of Fame, 400 E. Martin Luther King Blvd., eddietainment.com, buffalowildwings.com.
Tuesday, October 4
Project Tuesday
The McDevitt Agency, Charlotte’s hip real estate firm, puts on this “cosmopolitan experience” about once every other month at a different chic restaurant, bar, or lounge. For this Tuesday’s event, McDevitt has partnered again with Revolution boutique to present a fashionable evening. There will be models in attendance showcasing the latest fashions, a DJ playing your favorite tunes, and photographers on hand so come camera-ready. There will also be complimentary hors d’oeuvres and drink specials. 6-8 p.m. Free. Chima Brazilian Steakhouse, 139 S. Tryon St., projecttuesday.com, chima.cc.
Strike Out Breast Cancer
In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, StrikeCity is hosting a five-week fundraising drive benefiting the Charlotte chapter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Beginning this Tuesday, October 4 and continuing every Tuesday through November 1, this bowling alley, bar and lounge will donate 20 percent of all food and beverage sales between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. StrikeCity, inside EpiCentre, 210 E. Trade St. strikecitycharlotte.com.
Wednesday, October 5
Biergarten Triple Crown
Play all of your favorite social sports—cornhole, ping-pong, and bar-pong—under the big top. There will be prizes for the winners of each sport, including a custom iPod Tower. Registration starts at 6 p.m. Pavilion at EpiCentre, 210 E. Trade St., pavilionatepicentre.com.
Pints for Prostates Event
Men need to get regular screenings for cancer, too. And this event helps bring awareness while offering a good time. Doctors will be on hand to discuss the importance of having your prostate checked. Event features PSA Pilsner and a Single Batch brew from Leah Wong and the Highland Brewery, and there will also be a cornhole tournament. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Pints for Prostates organization. 6 p.m. VBGB Beer Hall & Garden, 920 Hamilton St., vbgbuptown.com.
Pop Life—Courvoisier Rose Launch Party and After-party
It’s a special edition of the weekly Pop Life event. There will be a complimentary tasting of Courvoisier Rose, along with free food. This portion of the event goes 8-10 p.m. and you must RSVP to thesolkitchen.family@gmail.com and receive a confirmation. An after-party follows, hosted by Harrell Records/Atlantic Records recording group Hamilton Park. It’s also a birthday celebration for DJ Bro-Rabb. 10 p.m.-2 a.m. Free. RE:PUBLIC, 314 N. College St., republicofcharlotte.com, thesolkitchen.com.
Suite Network 2.0
It’s a rather late-night networking event at one of the city’s hottest nightclubs. Come mix and mingle, and see some of Charlotte’s businesses display their products. As the night progresses, it’ll still get cranked up like it typically does on Wednesday nights here. 10 p.m. Suite, inside EpiCentre, 210 E. Trade St., suitecharlotte.com.
