Block & Grinder, the new butcher shop/deli/restaurant from owner Jed Kampe, has taken over the former Panda Express location on Providence Road, planning to open March 18.

Today's announcement listed a sampling of menu items from executive chef Kent Graham and sous chef Mike Courie: steak and frites (hangar steak and hand-cut fries with truffle salt), deviled eggs with goat cheese, mustard, prosciutto and white truffle oil, a Boston wedge salad, and a burger topped with roasted shiitakes and Gruyere cheese. (I spotted a few potential menu items being tested on the restaurant's Facebook page recently, too.)
