Thursday, August 8

The Carolina Panthers are at home for their first preseason game of the year. The Roaring Riot, the group of diehard Panthers fans, has found a new venue this season for Cans:Recycled, their parties during and after home games. 2013 Alpha Luau
The Beta Nu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity presents this annual luau, inviting you to come out in your Hawaiian-styled best and enjoy good food, music by DJ 06, and prizes (this is a BYOB event). Charlotte-based With These Hands DJ Academy has partnered with Sprite to form With These Hands Sprite Music Academy, to move global street culture forward through street arts education and cultural celebrations. The first street culture celebration is this Sunday and pays tribute to Grand Wizard Theodore, the inventor of the scratch, who will be honored at the event by award-winning spoken word artist Bluz and several DJs from Charlotte and beyond.
