Petal Pusher

Wedding Trend Du Jour: Rose Appliqué

It was love at first sight when I took my seat aside the ombré petal covered runway at the Claire Pettibone Spring '14 show. Still mesmorized by its magical effect, I've had a lingering fixation with rose petals for nuptials. What an organic, deconstructed way to incorporate blooms into your big day! Well, you can imagine my delight upon popping into the new Ladies of Lineage shop in Dilworth and finding a showstopper dress entailing precisely that. Cascading ombré appliqué that fades from white to blush couldn't be more whimsical or quintessentially romantic for 'I do.' And naturally it inspired a few design details that compliment its raw beauty seamlessly.
