“We play football because we want to win… but today, I believe I am the happiest coach in the world,” said Charlotte Football Club head coach Miguel Ramírez after the team’s record-breaking home debut. “It was amazing. I cannot describe in words the energy and I would like to thank everyone who joined us in this party, it really was a party.”
Charlotte FC may have lost the game, but 74,479 fans ensured that it was still one of the largest and most joyous parties Charlotte’s seen. As he will for the duration of the season, photographer Logan Cyrus was there from the early hours of tailgating to the streets still abuzz with excitement following the game.
