On Valentine’s Day, Lance caught Lisa off guard with a surprise proposal.

Lisa Marshall, a nurse, and Lance Carlyle, who is in real estate, met in college, but it wasn’t until after graduation that they began dating. After a Valentine’s Day proposal, the Cornelius couple chose St. Peter’s Episcopal Church as the place to say “I do.” For the traditional ceremony, the bride was elegant in a Rivini dress, Jimmy Choo shoes, and a bouquet of roses and orchids by Crawford and Company wrapped in her father’s handkerchief. After the vows, the 210 guests hopped on the provided trolleys from Trolleys of the Carolinas and were escorted to the ballroom at the Ritz-Carlton for the reception. Clad in white, the whole party mingled over lobster and filet mignon. For something sweet, the six-layer wedding cake by Cake Lady Jill came in two flavors: lemon and cream cheese (the couple’s favorites). And when it came to the party, the band, Big Blast and the Party Masters (brought in from Atlanta), ensured everyone stayed on the dance floor late into the night.
